Hi! I am Sabine and I am blogging about my adventures (good or bad) as a single mom of a recent college graduate, a teen and a tween in Nashville. After living in Los Angeles for over 20 years, I packed my few belongings, grabbed the kids and dog and moved to Music City. Country music, here we come! So, who am I?
I am a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and an ex-wife. I love books, my dogs, cooking “real” food, my daughter’s heartfelt music, DIY, thrift stores, country music, baking birthday cakes, my son’s innocence, my daughter’s endless enthusiasm, and the simple things in life.
I love to breathe new life into old, discarded things. I believe in recycling and reusing as much as possible… it’s my way of living.
When I am not working, I enjoy doing rehab on the fixer-upper I recently purchased. This could mean gutting the bathroom, refinishing hardwood floors, painting the exterior of the house, fixing my oven, staining the deck, and whatever else falls in my lap. The work never ends and I am loving (almost) every minute of it.
It’s not always easy as a single mom, but I am determined to transform this house into a beautiful home for my family.
My days aren’t all DIY and work. I also share snippets about Nashville, music, and the people who make the songs come alive.
Welcome to my blog!
