Lately I’ve been hearing a lot about Acai bowls and how nutritious they are. I’d love to try it someday, but in the meantime, I made my own frozen fruit bowl minus the acai. I didn’t have a recipe for this. Basically, I checked my freezer to see what frozen fruit was in it. Here’s what I came up with.
I blended together:
frozen kale ( you can’t taste it at all)
small amount of almond milk
I topped it with:
This bowl is absolutely delicious!!! The best part, you can add any fruit or veggie you like, as long as it’s frozen. And you can top it with anything you like. You can even add peanut or almond butter. The smoothie bowl is great for breakfast or snack. Heck, it’s so filling it can even be your lunch. We love it on a hot day – it’s much healthier than ice cream. I urge you to try this goodness!
