Our Dog Wears Belly Wraps

This is a sponsored post powered by BrandBacker for Pet Magasin Dog Belly Wraps. #DogMaleWrap #DogDiapersdog belly band

Billy is a great dog… he’s sweet, cute, cuddly, and he’s always in the mood to play. He’s our Billy, Mr. Bill, Billster, Billy Boy, and Poochie. Although we love Billy and he’s a good friend, he can drive us crazy when he marks around the house. He also leaves a tiny amount of urine when he’s excited or scared.

We recently started using Pet Magasin washable belly wraps that wrap around Billy’s belly and prevent him from urinating on objects. When a dog is wearing the belly wrap and he marks, the belly wrap will function like a diaper and hold the urine. My hope is that since Billy doesn’t like being wet, he’ll stop marking once he learns that marking makes him uncomfortable.

The belly wrap covers his boy parts, so that if he tries to mark, he can’t leave any liquid behind. This means that he doesn’t get the satisfaction of smelling his own scent over the other dogs. These wraps are also great for incontinent dogs, untrained puppies, or dogs that urinate when excited or scared. Billy is terrified of thunder and nervous whenever we have new visitors at our house.

So far, our experience with the belly wraps has been really great. Although Billy hates wearing dog clothes, he doesn’t mind wearing the wrap. When I get home from work, the kitchen floor is free of urine. Then I remove his belly band and take him for a walk to do his business.

Pet Magasin Belly Wraps are:

  • WASHABLE
  • Useful for untrained puppies, dogs that suffer from incontinence due to excitement urination, age, or illness.
  • MORE ECONOMICAL AND ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE than disposable diapers.
  • Highly absorbent and with a waterproof outer layer to prevent leaks and damage to carpets, upholstered furniture, etc.
  • SOFT AND COMFORTABLE TO INCREASE ACCEPTANCE. No “crinkly” texture that causes many dogs to reject disposable diapers. Velcro closures are quick and easy to secure and won’t stick to fur.

Seresto® Flea Collar Review

*I received a free product in order to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% mine.*

SerestoWe had never dealt with fleas until we moved to Tennessee. Hot, humid summers make it impossible to escape the little bloodsucking insects. For months we battled flea issues. Our dog, Billy, developed a  flea allergy, which made him completely miserable. Just one flea drove him crazy and irritated his skin.  I tried homemade flea killers made with essential oils, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, etc.  but nothing seemed to work. Sure, Dawn was great in the bath – it killed every single flea but didn’t stop new fleas from coming in. SerestoBilly scratched and licked so hard until his white fur turned brown from his saliva. Poor little guy… he was so miserable.

I was super skeptical of a flea collar actually working but I gave Seresto a try. Within three days of applying the collars, our flea issues were gone. Both dogs stopped scratching and appeared more relaxed.SerestoSerestoThe collars are super easy to use.  Put them on, mark the date on the calendar, and forget about them for 8 months! We have been using Seresto collars for about three months now and I really appreciate the convenience of not having to apply monthly tick medicine. The dogs don’t even notice the extra collar. The reflective tabs are a nice addition.Seresto

SerestoThis was the day the dogs started wearing  the Seresto collars. I spy a flea on Teddy. Three days later the fleas were gone.Seresto Collar– Seresto® is non-greasy, odorless, and kills and repels fleas and ticks.

It’s available in three sizes: large dog, small dog or cat.

– Seresto® is water-resistant and doesn’t need to be removed while bathing or swimming.  I still take theirs off just because I don’t want the effectiveness to decrease.

SerestoSerestoBilly’s skin and fur are looking healthy again. I check the dogs every day but  luckily they have been free of fleas and ticks for months. Fingers crossed.
