Whenever I feel stressed or run down, I reach for the juicer. My body usually runs like a well-maintained machine, but once in a while I feel achy and tired due to stress, lack of sleep, and not so healthy eating.
Juicing is a great way to get plenty of fruits and vegetables into our bodies and after drinking a glass of fresh juice, I feel so much more energized.
This week I decided to give my body a break and juice a different type of juice every day. I started with a Green Juice. I like to add an apple for a hint of sweetness. Instead of spinach you can use kale.
1 Green Apple
Half a Cucumber
Handful of Spinach
Handful of Parsley

I have been baking cakes since I was a young girl. I started out with simple cakes for my mom and my sister’s birthday, but once I had my own kids I became more adventurous and tried themed cakes. Each birthday my kids pick a theme and flavor for their cake. Cake decorating has become an art form for me. I think it’s a wonderful craft and a way to express myself creatively. I am not even close to being a great cake decorator and that’s o.k. My kids are always happy with the outcome and I have fun doing it. That’s all that matters to me.
Here are some more reasons why I love cake decorating:
• My kids love it and feel special because I took the time to decorate the cake just for them.
• I my opinion, homemade cakes taste better than store-bought cakes.
• I can control the choice of ingredients.
• Less expensive than store-bought cakes.
• It’s fun and rewarding.
