Texas de Brazil

Last week, my family received an invitation to dine at Texas de Brazil in Nashville.  Two words:  TOP NOTCH! This wasn’t “just” dinner… this was a dining experience. We marveled at the excellence of the food and were blown away by the incredible service we received. From the hostess, to the waiter, to the meat servers, to the manager; everyone working there was top notch.Texas de Brazil

Texas de Brazil is upscale yet laid back. The restaurant offers a salad bar with all kinds of options such as sushi, cheeses, veggies, soups (lobster bisque), Brazilian specialties, etc.

The servers (Gauchos) go around with meat on skewers cutting meat off as you grab it with your tongs. Think of the best steak ever and then think of an unlimited supply of it. All you can eat steak.  The servers brought filet mignon, flank steak, rib eye steak, ribs, chicken, lamb, sausage and more. Each table also gets garlic mashed potatoes, sweet bananas as palate cleanser, and Brazilian cheese bread. My advice: GO HUNGRY!

Each guest receives a green and a red card. Flipping your card to green means you’re ready for more meat. Red means you’re still munching on a piece of meat.

A couple of times, I forgot to flip to red and two Gauchos appeared instantly. The servers are very attentive and super friendly.

The atmosphere at Texas de Brazil was awesome. This is a great spot for date nights as well as family/friends dinners.

Dessert didn’t disappoint, either. We agreed, the winner was the Brazilian cheesecake. We also tried the coconut pie and chocolate cake.

We had a wonderful time at Texas de Brazil and would definitely recommend this place.

Renewal House provides Nashville’s first, largest and most comprehensive residential recovery program for addicted women and their children — allowing families to restore, renew, and recover their lives together. Since opening its doors in 1996, more than 650 mothers and their children have experienced new beginnings.

Women come to Renewal House with a substance-use addiction and other interlocking issues, such as co-occurring mental health disorders, homelessness, unemployment, limited formal education, a history of trauma, and entanglements with legal and child welfare systems.

On April 25th, Renewal House is having a red carpet fundraising event at The Reserve at Fat Bottom Brewing in West Nashville. Every mom needs a night out with her girls. Rayna & Deacon Together Forever at Madame Tussauds Nashville

I cannot believe Rayna James died. I kept waiting for a “dream sequence”, it didn’t come. I was shocked to see her death as tears kept flowing and flowing.  Sad to see such a great love story die #Deyna. The show “Nashville” won’t be same without her.

“Nashville” premiered just three months after the kids and I moved to Nashville, and I have watched it since. I liked Rayna’s strong character and what she represented. RIP Rayna.

On the bright side, Rayna James and Deacon Claybourne from CMT’s “Nashville” will be in the Nashville Madame Tussauds when it opens this spring. The couple will be immortalized forever in wax outside a replica of the famous Bluebird Café within the incoming attraction. I can’t wait to check it out.

Rayna’s figure will be wearing an outfit donated from the show that she wore in season three while performing on “Good Morning America.” Deacon’s figure will be outfitted with his favorite Martin D-28 Marquis Sunburst guitar, a re-creation of his signature guitar pick and leather strap donning his name and clothes donated from the show.

Each Madame Tussauds figure is truly a work of art, involving teams of professional artists and sculptors who spend months on extensive research to recreate world-famous icons, to achieve the kind of astonishing realism that has been at the heart of the 250-year Madame Tussauds legacy.

Additional figures hitting the stage at Madame Tussauds Nashville include Carrie Underwood, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Minnie Pearl, Johnny Cash, Keith Urban and Little Jimmy Dickens. More figures will be added to the bill within the coming weeks.

For more information visit the attraction’s website and join the newsletter at www.madametussauds.com/Nashville.

Tune in to CMT on Thursdays at 9/8c to catch the latest episodes of “Nashville.”
