Doesn’t this dress just look so fresh and comfy? I love it… although it’s not from my closet. It’s my daughter’s, but this dress is exactly my style. I think it’s a great summer dress – so comfy with some visual interest. This is the dress I’d bring if I was going on a tropical vacation. And lots of colorful bathing suits. One can dream, right?!
I can just picture myself on a beautiful beach with white sand and warm, turquoise water. Lovely! Most days I’m in old shorts and tops, but once in a while it’s fun to wear something cute and feminine.Sometimes I take a peek at popular fashion blogs and I’m amazed how much these women spend on clothes. Can “real” people really afford a top for $695 or a pair of flats for $999? One blogger wore a $165 head band. Wow! And what’s with all those overpriced purses? You could buy a used car with that money. Oh well, maybe I don’t understand fashion. I feel so out-of-place just reading their posts. It think my daughter spent $20 on this dress and I love it.
The other day I spotted some cute items at Old Navy. I love how light and breathable everything looks. I can see myself wearing these clothes. And, most items were 40% to 50% off. This brought the prices to $15 or $20 a piece. Much more affordable!
I’m curious, how do you feel about fashion bloggers who wear super expensive items in every post? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
That dress looks adorable on you!! I don’t know anyone who can spend that kind of money on clothes either…it’s crazy isn’t it? Oh well, more power to them. Old Navy fits my budget much better, especially if I want to buy groceries….know what I mean? Have a great weekend!
