Back & Front Door Makeover

***I received a free product in exchange for my honest review. ***

Looking at the before pictures of my deck makes me realize just how far I’ve come in the past three years. At times, I forget this house didn’t always look this way. When I bought the house, the deck looked uninviting and old. With some (very) hard work, I was able to transform it into a cozy and pet friendly patio.

I stained the deck and painted the railing. I also painted the door, along with the rest of the house.

One thing that still needed attention was the hardware. It was old and dented… It had seen better days for sure. I was thrilled when Kwikset sent over this beautiful new hardware for me to try and review.

I love it. The look is clean and sleek;  It fits and works great. Although this was my first time swapping out an exterior deadbolt knob for a handle set, installation was easy.  I won’t bore you with a tutorial (Kwikset provides a great one).

Since I love the new hardware so much, I decided to swap out the old front door knob with this beautiful satin nickel finish handle set.

The adjustable throughbolt has a full range of motion that allows the handle to fit most preexisting doors. Both handle sets feature SmartKey Security. You can Re-key your lock in seconds. Also, the hardware is bump proof, kick in resistant, pick resistant, saw resistant and drill resistant.

These look so nice! So sleek and clean. These look so complicated to install but of course you can do anything!

I really like the new hardware, really looks sharp! Your house looks so nice, you have been working your butt off! But, it was worth it huh? I bet you get that great feeling of accomplishment nd satisfaction that comes from a well done job….that YOU did yourself!

Aww thank you, Sally. That’s so sweet of you. You are right, it has been a lot of work, but so well worth it. I try to do as much as I can. The best part is picking up new skills and realizing it’s not that scary after all.
