I always feel there’s something strangely forced about new year’s resolutions. I get that it’s a new year and people see that as a chance to start on a blank sheet, but I always feel that if you want something enough, you should go out and get it, regardless of what time of the year it is. You have to have the right motivation and it has to come from a positive place of excitement instead of shame or worry…otherwise it’s like a diet that will never last.
My whole thing for 2014 is to be a better version of myself and to just live better. I want to laugh more, hug more, sleep more, appreciate everything I have even more, and occasionally step outside my comfort zone and try new things. Simple.
I bet the praying mantis stepped out of her comfort zone ( I’m assuming she is a girl) when she tried to enter my home which happens to have two dogs.
So here’s to a productive, healthy, and happy New Year!
