Nothing says fall fun for the whole family like corn mazes and pumpkin patches. When we moved to Nashville two years ago, the kids and I wanted to find a place where we could enjoy the beautiful countryside and experience the fall in a way we couldn’t when we lived in Los Angeles. We found Shuckles Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch in Hendersonville, TN, (just 20 minutes north of Nashville). Shuckles has a hay maze, corn maze (which you can wind through in the dark), a pumpkin patch, fun games, farm animals, hay ride and a farm store with food and gifts. It’s the perfect setting to let your kids enjoy true outdoor entertainment.
My children (minus one of my college girls) and a wonderful friend of ours visited Shuckles Corn Maze this weekend. It was the perfect fall day for a corn maze visit since temperatures had dropped to high 60. Just a few days earlier Nashville was still ‘baking’ in nearly 90 degrees.
The main attraction at Shuckles is the corn maze. And let me tell you, you are never too old to visit a corn maze. We had so much fun ‘getting lost’ through almost seven acres of fun-twisting turns. We didn’t rush this wonderful experience, and after 45 minutes we were no longer ‘lost’ in the maze. To me, life is like a maze of choices that each one of us must navigate in the best possible way.Afterwards we did some fun activities.
The pumpkin patch had some incredible-looking pumpkins. The hayride was last and we had fun riding through fields. The sun was still shining, but a cold breeze reminded us that it’s fall.It was a day full of fun and laughter. It’s true, the little things and moments in life matter most.
