I was fed up with my hose situation in the front of the house when I came across this great solution by Shanty 2 Chic. One of the girls made this cute hose holder and I really wanted one. The project seemed fairly simple and inexpensive, but I decided not to spend any money at all. Instead I used old wood and left overs from previous projects. Here’s what I did.
I started with a piece of scrap wood from an old fence.I cut and sanded the wood.Next, I cut three more pieces of wood. Everything was from my scrap pile.I was out of long screws so I used nails to attach the pieces to the pole.I needed something that would hold the hose in place. This old shelf bracket was perfect. I used tiny screws to attach the shelf bracket to the pole. I spray painted everything black. To keep the hose from sliding off the shelf bracket, I screwed in a machine screw.I dug a hole, and my hose holder was ready.
This was a quick and easy project and I am glad I was able to make this by using everything I already had.
Sabine, this is a genius and beautiful idea! I need to replace my ugly plastic hose holders and this would do it! Featured you this weekend on Party Junk!
