Easter is almost here and I have one last Easter project I’d like to show you. I made a bird nest with materials found in my back yard. If you’ve followed my blog for let’s say five minutes, you know I like simplicity in all aspects of my life. This bird nest is just that: simple.
Before I get to my tutorial, I want to wish you a very happy and blessed Easter.
I started with a bowl and aluminum foil to create a form for my bird nest.
Set the foil on top of the bowl and press it to the bowl. Remove the bowl. Now you have a shape for your bird nest.
This is what I used to make the nest. I also added some feathers.
With a glue gun, glue your materials to the aluminum foil bowl.
Shake off any excess branches, leaves, etc. It also helps trimming the nest a bit.
Add eggs. These are plastic eggs I Mod Podged with colored paper. You can see this post here.
This nest reminds me of the bird nests my sister and I used to find on my grandmother’s farm. We loved looking at them.
This could make a cute table decoration for Easter. Or check out my Easter Egg Vases.
