This weekend, I was busy with DIY projects. On my To-Do-List was painting the living room, (hallway and master bedroom are next). I’m over the beige in my house – instead, I’m bringing in gray. The living room is done and I love it. The gray color feels crisp and a lot more polished. But more on this in my next post.
In the meantime, remember this bench I made the other day? Well, I still have a pretty big pile of pallet wood left, and since I needed a skinny console table in the living room, I decided to build one this weekend. And this one needed some paint because I wanted a more polished look.
Inspiration came from AnaWhite.com, but I didn’t use her plan. I created my own and worked with whatever wood I had left.
Here are some pictures of the process.
I added a faux drawer and used leftover black and white paint.
The wood isn’t perfect – I think it adds character.
