I’ve been meaning to make something with pallets for a while now. So when I came across a pile of pallets in downtown Nashville, I loaded up the car and took the babies home. Since today is the first day of fall, I was ready to bring out my fall décor. Don’t have much yet… just a few items I found at estate sales, but I’m still adding to the pile.
Today I built a small pallet bench for my fall items. I didn’t follow any plan – I just used what I had on hand; measured, cut, screwed and sanded. I enjoyed building this bench, but taking the pallets apart was a whole different story. No cuts, but several blisters for sure!

September 27, 2014This looks great. How did get those pallets apart? I am still trying to figure that out. I had one that I tore apart pretty easy. I made a table out of that one. But the others have proven to be an impossible task. However, I will not let it defeat me. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous table.

September 27, 2014Hi, Trish. Thanks for stopping by. I know what you mean about the pallets. I almost gave up on one piece. Some pieces have nails and screws… you do get your workout, but it’s fun to create a piece of furniture from something that would otherwise end up in the garbage.
