We don’t eat out very often so I wasn’t familiar with Firebirds, but gave it a try since my daughter received a coupon for a complimentary meal for two. We visited the Brentwood location in Nashville, TN. Apparently, Firebirds has 32 other locations, mainly in the south east of the US.
Let’s start with the interior. One word: Awesome! Right away I was two of my favorite materials: exposed wood and bricks. High ceilings, lanterns, large mirrors and lots of wine bottles on the wall give this place a really cool and comfy feel. This place could be a casual or formal occasion or romantic if you wish.
Our server was very sweet and attentive. She was thorough, nice and well-placed throughout the meal. At one point, the manager came over to say ‘hi’ and asked if we needed anything at all.
Now to the menu. I love that the menu is not overly complicated – there are plenty of selections but not enough to make your head spin like some other places. Even though there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of choices, everything sounded so good that it made making a decision difficult. I ordered the 14 oz New York Strip with steak fries; my daughter had the prime rib with baked potatoe. BEST TASTING NEW YORK STRIP WE’VE HAD IN NASHVILLE, HANDS DOWN! Juicy, tender, and flavor in every bite. Even the steak fries were outstanding. The prime rib was excellent too.
They also served us this cute loaf of bread. I have never seen this shape or texture in bread before. Chewy in the middle and almost cracker-like on the exterior. Delicious!
I loved everything about this place; the delicious sounding menu, the ambiance and especially the customer service. If you are in Nashville, be sure to check out Firebirds.
Note: I was not compensated to give this opinion. I simply wanted to recognize a place that serves outstanding food and provides great customer service.
