Look what I found today!

I had a very productive day today. In addition to cleaning, doing laundry and cooking up a storm, I ran several errands. My first stop was at Kohl’s. For some reason, Kohl’s send me $10 gift cards once a month. Hey, I’m not complaining. I love it, because each month I get free apparel for my kids. I was able to find a pair of shorts (on sale) for my son for just under $10. They used to be $40 – way out of my price range. But $0 sounded good to me.

Next stop was Sears Outlet. Another friendly store that e-mailed me a “surprise $5 gift” without any additional purchases. There, I found a flannel for my son for $3 (was originally $28) and a shirt for $2 (originally $11). But wait, it gets better. All children apparel was buy one get one free. So I ended up getting a flannel, two shirts, and pajama pants for FREE. Love that store!

My last stop was the AT&T store. I recently signed up for AT&T U-verse since they had a great special on Internet and TV bundle. I am very happy with their service, however, I didn’t like their $50 activation fee. I walked in the store and politely asked if they would be kind enough to waive the fee. AT&T guy said “yes, of course.”

I guess some days are better than others, and today was definitely a good one. It’s always nice to save a little bit of money, especially if you’re already on a tight budget.
