Meaningful Beauty

The older I get the more I realize how important it is to seek out things that inspire me. Often we get caught up in the daily grind and forget about the things that put a smile on our faces. I need to set daily reminders to stop and enjoy the things around me rather than run around like a crazy woman. It’s not always easy. Once I get going it’s hard for me to stop until I face utter and complete exhaustion.

However, the older I get, the easier it is for me to find beauty and comfort in simple things, which I probably would not have noticed when I was younger.

Here are a few simple things I have enjoyed lately.

Smell of fresh cut grass

Homemade bread

Old wood

My family

Fresh flowers from my yard

Old photographs

Cute vintage shops

Old houses

Vanilla ice cream

Laughter

Take time to enjoy the things that inspire you in your life. I would love to hear about them.
