My Daughter’s Wedding

On August 24, 2019, my eldest daughter, Melody, had her wedding day. She married my handsome, generous and caring son-in-law Jamie.

Although Melody and Jamie were officially married at the court house, three years ago, this event was their “real” wedding day. Back when they married at the court house, Melody was a broke law school student and the couple simply couldn’t afford a wedding.

Melody is a born organizer and had everything ready for this day. And a beautiful day it was. The wedding truly reflected the couple’s personalities. They did “their own thing” which made it for a very relaxing atmosphere. Everyone had a great time and we only saw tears of happiness.

The Bride & Dress

Melody found her dream dress and veil at USA Bridal in Nashville, when she visited during Christmas. The dress was beautiful. The girl was an absolute stunner of a bride.

The Groom & Groomsmen

The groom and groomsmen looked dashing in their grey suits.

The Venue

A Fair Barn is an all inclusive event venue, located in Salem, Illinois. The grounds are beautiful and spacious.

A guest house was available for the bride and groom. This was also the place where my daughter and her bridesmaids got dressed and had their hair and make up done.
The venue also provided two golf carts. My son loved cruising around.

The Bridesmaids

Will you look at the beautiful girls? They’re lovely inside and out. Their dresses were from David’s Bridal.

The Ceremony

My 15 year old son walked his sister down the aisle.
The “vow master” was my daughter’s best friend’s dad. He truly personalized the ceremony. He made us laugh and cry. Thank you, Hasmet.

The Celebration

The Memories

This day has left me with so many memories to cherish for the rest of my life. I’m so proud of Melody and Jamie for organizing this entire day and more. They brought everyone together. Friends and family traveled from California, Tennessee, Illinois, New York, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Missouri and The United Kingdom. So much love was felt from everyone.

My children.

I feel incredibly grateful and blessed to have Melody and Jamie in my life. Both are kindhearted, loving and hardworking.

Melody and Jamie, thank you for letting me celebrate with you. I know the two of you will live happily ever after.
