When it comes to saving money on clothes while still enjoying a huge selection, nothing beats Goodwill. Where else can you walk out of the store with a brand new looking pair of jeans and blouse for under $9 total. That’s what happened to me the other day. I went in, browsed a bit, and came out with two new pieces of clothing for a grand total of $8.49.
Goodwill has a large selection of jeans. I’ve always liked American Eagle and Aeropostale jeans – I find them soft and comfy. But spending $50 on a pair of jeans at the mall is not something I do.
Well, Goodwill had several pairs of my favorite jeans to choose from. The Aeropostale pair fit the best and since it was “Green sticker is 50% off day”, the pair was only $3.99 instead of the usual $7.99. Score!I also liked this white CONVERSE blouse for $4.49.While I was there I also tried on two dresses. Cute, but I didn’t really need it.
Summer is almost over. Shouldn’t I be looking at sweaters instead?
So the dresses stayed but I bought two pieces of comfy and good quality clothing for only $8.49. I’d say this is a pretty good deal! I also feel good about the fact that I can reuse clothing instead of buying everything new.
Tell me, do you shop at thrift stores? I’d love to hear from you.
You did good! Those jeans and that top look great on you. What a bargain, I love Goodwill. Sometimes you need to buy something just for you – you certainly deserve it. Mohave a good weekend?
