It’s December and I’m planning my 2016 projects… lots of them. One of the first things I’d like to do in the New Year is install board and batten in my hallway and crown molding in the master. I think it’ll add texture and interest to the walls. It’s a project I’ve been meaning to do for some time now but decided to wait until I had the proper tools. I just received the Rockwell BladeRunner Portable Tabletop Saw and I can’t wait to get started. The BladeRunner X2 cuts wood, metal, tile, aluminum or plastic. It’s easy to use and easy to carry, weighing less than 15 lbs.I can set it up anywhere in just seconds. Which means I won’t have to stand in my cold garage making my cuts. With the BladeRunner I can make miter cuts using the miter gauge. The BladeRunner X2 also features a larger rip fence and hold-down guard & splitter for improved control and wider cuts. I can make scroll cuts and inside cuts.In the past, I needed multiple saws to perform rip, scroll, miter & inside cuts – but not anymore. I can perform all these cuts now using only one portable tool, just by changing out the blades.
I already love the Rockwell BladeRunner X2. This tool is sturdy, versatile and takes up very little space.

Oh I really really hope I win. I am also getting ready to put up chair rail and picture frame moldings below the chair rail. I could really use one of those babies. Thanks for the chance and have a blessed day.
Hi Stephanie. Yes, you can cut shapes with the BladeRunner. I’m not sure about any add on accessories, but the saw comes with things like miter guage, rip fence, various blades. This saw is very handy to have. I’ve just completed my bathroom board and batten using this saw. Because it’s lightweight and compact, I was able to bring the saw into my tiny bathroom.

December 22, 2015What kind of blade does this use. Is it more like a bandsaw, or a jig saw?
sabines
