A few weeks ago, I came across photos of our house when I first bought it. I have to say I was shocked to see how much has changed since we moved in, six years ago. In addition to being shocked, I felt emotional because I know how much work, effort, sweat and even blood went into these changes.
Even after six years, the house is still a work in progress. After all, there’s always room for improvement, right?
I thought it would be fun to show some before and after photos. Perhaps they will motivate someone to tackle a similar project. Keep in mind, I didn’t knock down any walls or add additional square footage. Less than a year ago, I bought new windows, and two years ago, new gutters.
I removed all carpeting, refinished the hardwood floors, installed tile in the kitchen and bathroom, painted EVERYTHING (interior/exterior), installed new cabinet hardware, door knobs, and light fixtures. I also built a kitchen island, kitchen table, pantry, bench, and entryway table.
