Here in Nashville we do not have 3 ft. of snow like some of the country, instead, we have a little bit of snow on top of an inch of ice. Yep, very hazardous! Businesses closed, schools closed, dentists and doctors rescheduled; haven’t seen the mailman since last Saturday, and my girls tell me the college dining halls are running out of food. We’ve been advised to stay put unless we really need to go out.
Well, today, I really needed to go out. The sun was shining and the sparkling ice on tree branches looked like diamonds. I had to soak all this in before it disappears. I bundled up and took a walk through my neighborhood. I felt like I was in the movie “Frozen.” It was magical… words cannot describe it. A perfect winter day.
I found this leaf inside of ice. How cute is this? It’s in my freezer now.
