Strike & Spare Family Fun Center in Hendersonville, TN, is sort of off the beaten path, but connected to a huge Expo Center that I had heard of, but never visited.
When we walked in we passed loads and loads of arcade games, the indoor roller skating rink, the laser tag, an indoor bungee jump, the indoor bumper cars, then a large dining room connected to what I’d have to describe as a two story tall prize wall. And that’s before we even got to the 38 lane bowling area.
Strike & Spare looks pretty new, ultra clean, and sorry folks – puts many other bowling centers and indoor playgrounds to shame. And yes, there’s a bar. And a great concession stand that is more of a little restaurant than your typical concession stand. You can order breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Last Saturday, my son turned 10 and we took him and his friend to Strike & Spare. If you arrive before noon, you can purchase a wristband for unlimited play at half price ($10.50). A friend of mine mentioned that if you have an additional coupon, which can usually be found in the Parent magazine, you get an extra 50% off the wristband. I was lucky and found the magazine next to my supermarket and we ended up paying $5.50 per wristband. WOW!
You can’t beat this. My son and his buddy played hard for 3 1/2 hours and had a great time. Comparing this to a movie theater ticket @ $10 – $15 per person; Strike & Spare seems like an incredible deal.
I would highly recommend this place. We’ll be back for sure!
