If you’re stuck in your breakfast routine, give this ricotta bowl a try. It is so easy to throw together and you can top it with whatever you like. The whole milk ricotta is so creamy and delicious… and without the tartness of yogurt.
I scoop about 1/3 cup ricotta in a bowl, drizzle it with 1 tbsp of honey and top it with fruit, nuts, mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, chia seeds, flax seeds, granola, etc…. whatever I have on hand. Add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and your breakfast will taste like ice cream or cannoli.
Be sure to use really good whole milk ricotta. Low-fat is not the way to go. It’s healthier for our bodies to eat foods in their purist form, so go for the full fat.
Summer is the season for peaches. This peach and pistachio bowl just bursts with flavor. With only three ingredients (plus a drizzle of honey) you are going to have a delicious and energizing breakfast no matter what else you decide to add.
Try this breakfast. It’s not too heavy and it gives you a great energy boost to start the day.
