You can never have too many old spaghetti jars. I use them a lot around my kitchen. They bring that old-time hominess back to my life! They are great for storing just about anything in your pantry. I use them to store dried beans, granola, sugar, dog treats, even buttons and screws. When I make my smoothies I store the rest in the jar in the fridge. Just shake it up and sip away. You can also use them as tea-light holders.
Prior to using the jars, wash them in hot water with soap to remove the smell. Baking soda works great too. You can use nail polish remover to get rid of the glue on the jars. I sand down my lids just a bit before I paint them with acrylic paint.
There are so many nifty ideas for these jars. How do you use your jars? Share your tips!
