Vanilla Frosting with Condensed Milk

Yesterday, we celebrated my daughter’s 19th birthday. Christy only wished for one thing – Pumpkin Cheesecake! it is her absolute favorite… she is completely in love with this cake. I usually don’t frost this cake, but since it was her birthday, I added our favorite Vanilla Frosting to make it look more festive.

I don’t care much for butter cream frosting ( I prefer cream cheese frosting or just whipped cream), but this frosting is  different since it’s made with condensed milk.

We use this frosting for our Christmas cookies and the kids love it.A year ago, I wrote this recipe down but I can’t remember where it came from. We have been using it ever since.

The Pumpkin Cheese cake recipe is one of Paula Deen’s. it’s absolutely delicious and you can find the recipe here.

Vanilla Frosting with Condensed Milk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk

Directions

1. Beat butter for about 1 minute.

2. Add powdered sugar ( a little at a time) until well incorporated.

3. Add vanilla extract and condensed milk. Beat until smooth. Add more sugar if it’s too soft.
