Wizard101 is a hugely popular multiplayer online game created especially for preteens. My son is a big fan of this game and for his 10th birthday he asked for a Wizard 101 cake. This year, he decided to go with a Red Velvet cake instead of his usual chocolate cake. I skipped the red dye entirely (I don’t see the need to pour an entire bottle of red food coloring into the batter, since the cake still tastes the same), but added just a few drops of dye to the frosting which was made of cream cheese. While it’s certainly not perfect, my son loved it and I had fun making it.
Frosting took care of that

This is the Wizard 101 logo I used as an inspiration for this cake.
